President Gordon B. Hinckley passed away today. He was 97 years old. I feel so blessed to have been alive during his presidency.

How Long Was I Supposed To Do This For??

Well, John left for Japan on Wednesday (for THREE MONTHS!!!) and I'm back at Mom and Dad's...... just sitting!!! The past couple of days have been really hard for me because I'm not used to not being able to just go up and hug John, and I can't even drive somewhere to see him because he's on a completely different continent. The only way to contact him at all is email or Skype, and that's only when he's online... they're minus 7 hours, but the next day ahead of us. So if I Skyped him at 10pm CA time, it is 3pm the next day in Japan. This is going to be a very rough and depressing road.. thank goodness for love and determination!

At Last!!

Kristen finally decided that now is the time to start a blog. Thank goodness because I was about to go into withdrawls from lack of baby pictures. I managed to "steal" some of her pictures and I have posted them on my blog. Isn't Logan so adorable. I'm the luckiest aunt alive..... two AWESOME nephews....... let's get some girls in the mix people!!!! Just kidding, I'll let you guys take a breather before we start discussing the nieces ;)

HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY ERIK!!!

Today was Erik's 15th Birthday which can only mean one thing....... DRIVER'S PERMIT!!!! As far as I know he's never been behind the wheel, but you can count on him to start begging for it. Ooooohhhhhh dear. Another Peterson out on the road.... such a scary thought.

Okay I've always known it was a little off, but I just realized by looking at my pictures that my nose is definitely diagonal. I have 2 different profiles depending on which way I'm looking!!! Hahahaha. I love it. I wouldn't change it for the world. Good night all!

Can't Get Enough

I probably have a billion pictures of Christian, but I'm his Auntie and I'm gonna keep posting them until my computer or my camera dies.... whichever comes first. I wish I had more pictures of Logan too (eh hem, Kristen..... hint hint) but so far I have been unsuccessful at retrieving them. As soon as I get some I promise I will post them.

David's 24th Birthday was on January 5th. I'm really glad that I was able to see him and his family before he left. Here are a couple of pictures I was able to get:

I finally went to the optometrist today. My eyes have been hurting really badly for the longest time and I finally sucked it up and went. There's nothing wrong with my vision, but my eyes strain really hard to see up close like when I'm reading or on the computer (anywhere from 5-10 hours a day depending on work), and even when I'm driving. That's part of the reason my posts have been so short. I'm really glad I went, even though I now have to wear GLASSES to work. They better last me a long time because my wallet hurts. And now I'm off to bed to rest my eyes because they hurt extra from the doctor playing with them today.

Eew Sick

Hey guess what!!!! I'm sick again!!! Yay! I guess my body decided that it's been way too long since I've had a decent cold. I'm so excited that my head feels like it's going to implode!! Or maybe that's just the swollen sinuses??? Ok I'm done being sarcastic. I'm pretty upset because I had to leave work early today (which is absolutely unheard of.... I would go to work even if I lost a limb!!!) because every time I tried to stand up the color would drain out of my face and I would almost pass out. Another thing that really stinks about this whole being sick business is that David Kat and Christian are going to be heading home to Idaho pretty soon and I really wanted to see them and give Christian a million more kisses before they left, but now I can't because I don't want to get any of them sick. I'm sooooo bummed. I need a hug :( John and Rosco are being great though. John made me chicken noodle soup and toast, and Rosco graciously helped me finish the toast and has been snuggling with me all day. I love my boys... what would I do without them???

I did it!!! Well, kind of. John talked me into snowboarding while we were in Big Bear for New Year's. This was my first time even touching snow in about 10 years. I have to say it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I'm not that good at it but I managed to stay up and not kill myself. Now I feel like I was run over by semi truck. After we went snowboarding we went to our friend's cabin in Lake Arrowhead. It was so much fun. We stayed there for a couple days and celebrated New Year's there with about 30 people. It was so much fun. I thought I had more pictures but apparently everyone I asked to take a picture of me and John really sucks at taking pictures. Happy 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
