Here Comes The Bride

No no no.... it's not me! My best friend Allison is finally engaged! I'm sooo happy for her. She also told me that she would would like me to be her Maid of Honor (1st for me)!!! I hope this goes as smoothly as possible, because if she turns into a Bridezilla I'm going to dose her with Prozac (.... I think that should fall under the duties of the MOH). Yes, I am perfectly willing to drug a bride. Friends don't let friends become Bridezillas. This is going to be fun. More updates to come!

Would You Like A Helmet With That?

Okay so I'm totally unaware of my surroundings at all times. Last Friday my friend Allison and I came to my house for our lunch break. During that short visit I managed to burn myself AND give myself a lovely "shiner". Yes, I know, that's a lot of work to do in only 30 minutes, but what can I say.... I'm efficient! While sitting at the table eating my lunch I gave Rosco a pretzel which he didn't want. So I leaned down to pick it up off the floor, and the table attacked me (nice bruise, right under my eye). I think that all inanimate objects HATE me!!! At work I was also ambushed by the back door, the door frame leading into my boss' "desk closet" (a.k.a. tiny office) AND the hand sanitizer dispenser that is mounted on the wall. Who's idea was it to hang stuff on the wall that sticks out?!?!?! That's an accident waiting to happen [to me]. It may sound like i just had a bad day, but NNNOOOOOOOOOOOO..... this is a daily occurence. My boss has dubbed me "Bubblewrap". Cute. My co workers make sure to remind me to look out for corners and things that normal people would see right away. I vow that I shall make it through at least one day of my life unscathed!!! Bring it on walls (yeah, I know you walls are all in on it.... I'm on to you... and you too, uneven floors)!

Cuz I'm Leavin' On A Jet Plane....

Okay all of you travelers!!!! I'm planning a trip to Japan for about 10 days at the beginning of April. My problem: I've NEVER booked a plane ticket for myself, and I have very limited funds. Does ANYONE know of some websites that have amazing deals on plane tickets???? ANY and ALL advice is welcome. I already have my passport taken care of (I feel all growed up!), and I don't need to find a hotel. One of my patients who is from Japan even sent me a huge email FILLED with links to different Japanese tourist sites, showing some of the most amazing places I could only dream about. I am so excited that I'm going to be able to use my passport for the first time!!! Japan is definitely on my top 5 countries to visit before I die, and I never imagined that I would be able to go so soon. Next stop: Thailand!!!! That's right Picketts.... Thailand! But we'll wait until my wallet recovers from the trauma of Japan.... it's never been that tortured before!!!

The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree

You Will Be a Cool Parent

You seem to naturally know a lot about parenting, and you know what kids need.
You can tell when it's time to let kids off the hook, and when it's time to lay down the law.
While your parenting is modern and hip, it's not over the top.
You know that there's nothing cool about a parent who acts like a teenager... or a drill sergeant!

That's Right Y'all... I'm an Adult!

You Are A Woman!

Congratulations, you've made it to adulthood.
You're emotionally mature, responsible, and unlikely to act out.
You accept that life is hard - and do your best to keep things upbeat.
This makes you the perfect girlfriend... or even wife!

Blogthings - What Age Do You Act?

You Act Like You Are 25 Years Old

You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel like an adult, and you're optimistic about life.
You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

You're still figuring out your place in the world and how you want your life to shape up.
The world is full of possibilities, and you can't wait to explore many of them.

What TV Comedy Am I???

Megan, you're most like Everybody Loves Raymond From an overbearing mother to a jealous brother, Everybody Loves Raymond brims with characters who make familiar family situations — like getting together for Thanksgiving dinner — much more memorable.

Even if you don't share the Barone family's dry delivery, you know how to find the funny in everyday life and appreciate the true eccentricities in those around you whether they're kin or not. You may make fun of family and friends — or roll your eyes at their antics — but at the heart of it, you've got a very loyal nature. It's probably why everyone loves you!
